Alan Birch

Alan retired from a full-time role in 2017 after a 40-year career in senior and C level banking and banking technology roles. A chartered banker, his career started with Midland Bank and Alan was responsible for the ATM card reciprocity agreement between Midland and NatWest in 1983. Subsequently he held various City banking roles including EVP of Security Pacific Eurofinance, Head of Lending at Royal Trust Bank of Canada and General Manager and board director of Deutsche Bank’s mortgage bank. Alan was asked to be Global Head of Operational Risk at London Bridge Software in 2000. He moved to Fiserv in 2004 where he was responsible for the two largest bank core transformation projects ever undertaken by Fiserv outside of the USA. In 2014 Alan was invited by the CEO of Fiserv to lead the Agiliti SaaS project.

An early entrant to online advertising in the late nineties, Phil developed ground-breaking communication strategies for many of the world’s largest advertisers. Following a successful corporate career with the likes of AOL and Fox, Phil went on to work with early-stage start-ups in the gaming, social media, programmatic advertising and mobile sectors. 
Paul has extensive business experience within the UK banking sector, experience that has been gained working both directly for banks and also acting as an advisor and consultant to UK based banks. Paul was one of the founding members and CTO of Atom Bank, the UK’s first digital only bank, responsible for the technical and business architectures of the bank, taking the design from its inception through to mobilisation and operational launch. Atom was one of the first banks to go through the PRA/FCA new bank approval process and he was instrumental in shaping their thoughts on the use of technology within the new bank arena. Paul has previously held a series of high profile positions – interim CIO of Fiserv Agiliti, designed the front-office separation of Lloyds Banking Group to form TSB, Director within the FSBU at Capgemini and CTO at Beneficial Bank (now part of HSBC).
