Yahoo! Finance Now Allows Users to Trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin

Yahoo! Finance Now Allows Users to Trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin

Yahoo! Finance has integrated a new feature that allows its 113 million users to buy and sell Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Litecoin (LTC) directly on its platform.

The Yahoo! Finance platform currently tracks 112 cryptocurrencies, but only allows registered users to trade BTC, ETH, and LTC. Once users click a “Buy” or “Sell” button on the BTC, ETH, or LTC pages, they are asked to select a broker. The site currently supports cryptocurrency trading APIs from Coinbase and Robinhood.

Although Yahoo! has yet to release a statement on the new functionality, many prominent players in the cryptocurrency community are excited that crypto trading has come to such a mainstream name in online finance.

In reference to the new trading function, Morgan Creek Digital Assets founder Anthony Pompliano jokingly tweeted that “the virus is spreading.” Litecoin founder Charlie Lee was thrilled at the development, tweeting that “mass adoption comes one step at a time.”
