Global computer chip producer Nvidia has accepted blockchain advertising platform and ICORating client Ubex into the Nvidia Inception Program, Nvidia’s own incubator for AI and deep learning startups.
Through its acceptance in the Inception Program, reported by Coindesk on June 18, Ubex plans to use Nvidia’s expertise, contacts, marketing tools, and datasets to jump start their product and get to market faster.
The chip manufacturer, which saw a major upturn in business last year due to high demand for cryptocurrency mining hardware, launched its Inception Program earlier this year. Nvidia’s accelerator “nurtures dedicated and exceptional startups” in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science “during critical stages of product development, prototyping, and deployment.”
Ubex is building an advertising platform that aims to use AI to improve the quality and relevance of advertising in order to improve user experience and increase conversions. Ubex’s blockchain ledger stores user data to maintain confidentiality while using the data to improve targeting.
The startup has raised 14,488 ETH, or about $6.5 million, via its initial coin offering (ICO), which was launched on May 21, 2018 and is scheduled to run until July 14, 2018. ICORating gave Ubex a ‘Positive’ investment rating in a Rating Review published on May 27, 2018.
