Not being open source is a big problem for any application's trust claims, since it means no one is permitted to review the source code, compile code, and test the code. Which you might get away with if it is a gaming application or a word processor. But when it comes to money, it's a totally different proposition. Might as well use an online exchange that stores the lot.
